My campaign is a true grass-roots movement. Friends and family have  encouraged and assisted me in this endeavor!

While walking in our district and knocking on doors, many people have asked, “Why would you want to run for public office?” It's simple, for years, I have like you, read the newspaper, listened to the radio and watched television news programs, only to hear stories of inaction, wasted spending, corrupt politicians , more government intrusion and higher taxes. That is not what the founders of this country had in mind! That is not what we should settle for, or accept! I felt that if I did nothing, that my silence would be the same as consent. My daughter, my wife, my family and our community deserve better than that! I became so opinionated at family gatherings, that my wife finally told me to do something about it, and not just complain.

We need to talk about the important issues that are currently affecting us, not the issues that the legislature chooses as "politically expedient" to confront. We the taxpayers must dictate the agenda! In the words of Margaret Mead, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed it's the only thing that ever has." Our voices will be heard! Some issues of concern are the following:

  •   Job Creation
  •  The Local Economy
  •  Condominium and Homeowner Association Reform
  •  Education Funding and Structure
  •  Miami-Dade as Florida's Donor County

I have high hopes for the new face of the Dade Delegation. We are at a critical point in our history, and it is refreshing to see that so many new faces can enter the arena of public service. Public service should not be a career, it should be a temporary service that one provides his or her community! This is the greatest country in the world! I have always believed in her, which is why I proudly fought for her in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Make no mistake, we are the envy of the world specifically because our system of government allows for change without violence or revolution.  The best years of this community are still in front of us!
